Your Feet Could Be The Key To Better Health

Your feet directly impact your entire body. A small problem in your feet can change the way you walk. This can affect the not only your posture and biomechanics but can also put stress on other joints in your body. The foot cycles between two main functions during a normal walking or gait cycle: a flexible foot that is able to adjust to varying terrain, and a rigid lever to push you forward. These functions are time-specific during the gait cycle. Excessive or prolonged motion or lack of motion can cause various deformities and pathologies. These can include things like bunions, calluses, hammer toes, ITB syndrome, shin splints, low back or neck pain, and more. Proper biomechanics allow human beings to walk, run, jump, and move freely without pain or dysfunction.

Prescription orthotics are insoles that are custom made to correct your specific foot imbalance. They bring your foot back into proper alignment during your gait cycle and help to reduce stress and strain on you body. Your Chiropractor can analyze your gait and examine your feet to determine if orthotics can help you.

Introducing The Metascan System

We are proud to introduce our new diagnostic software for gait analysis. The metascan is a state of the art system that scans the foot 150 times per second and captures 8 key points during the gait cycle. It then analyzes the results to reliably show you any biomechanical alterations in your gait cycle. And it is as simple as walking! Your Chiropractor can then make suggestions as to whether or not you could benefit from orthotics based on the information provided. For more information talk to Dr. Fox or Dr. Peddle or ask Tracey or Maria for a pamphlet on your next visit.

Have You Ever Wondered If You Could Benefit From Orthotics?

Glenbourne Chiropractic is offering a complimentary scan with the Metascan System. On Wednesday, October 28th from 9-4pm we will be booking appointments for gait analysis. If you’ve ever wondered if you need orthotics or if your current back or neck pain could be helped with orthotics this is an opportunity you don’t want to miss!

Call Tracey or Maria to book your complimentary appointment today.
